KM 0

The Center of Chile

Here's an understatement: Chile is long. Over 4630 kilometers to be exact. Santiago conveniently happens to be the center-most point of the country, leaving me with the equidistant options of traveling north or south. Since I've found myself in the peak of winter, heading toward the Antarctic doesn't sound like the greatest of ideas. So, Atacama here I come :)

  1. This is false. And anyone who looks at a map knows this. Santiago is NOT the center-most point in the country (that lies further south). But Santiago does happen to be the point from which distances are measured.
